안녕하십니까?

2021년 대한남성과학회 가을 학술대회에 여러분들을 모시게 되어 기쁩니다.
이번 학술대회는 2015년도부터 시작된 제5회 International Joint Meeting of Pan-Asian Men's Health Forum과 동시에 온라인 국제학술대회로 개최될 예정입니다.

코로나 바이러스로 모든 학술활동이 제약을 받는 상황에서도 저희 대한남성과학회는 지난 4월 제38차 학술대회를 성공적으로 개최하였습니다. 현재 코로나 바이러스 백신 접종률이 지속적으로 증가하고 있으나, 변이 바이러스로 인해 확진자 수가 급격히 늘어나고 있습니다. 좀 더 많은 분들이 학술대회에 참석할 수 있을 것으로 기대하였지만 아직 상황이 모든 분들이 직접 참석하기에는 시기상조로 판단하여 가을 학술대회는 전면 온라인으로 진행될 예정입니다.

학술대회의 첫째 날인 9월 3일은 오후 반나절 프로그램으로 운영되며, Sexual Medicine과 Men's Health 분야의 세계적인 석학들을 모시고 시의 적절한 임상 주제를 선정하여 심도 깊은 토론을 진행할 예정입니다.

학술대회의 둘째 날인 9월 4일은 대한비뇨기호르몬연구학회 (Korean Society for Genitourinary Hormone Research)의 주도로 남성과학 분야에서 호르몬과 연관된 다양한 질환의 병태생리와 치료의 최신 지견을 나눌 예정입니다. 더불어 Peyronie's disease의 급성기 때 시도해 볼 수 있는 치료법들에 대해서도 다루어 볼 예정입니다. 특히 이번 학술대회는 그동안 남성과학의 발전을 위하여 공헌하신 박남철 교수님의 정년퇴임 기념강의가 준비되어 있어 더욱 뜻깊은 학술대회가 될 것 같습니다.

존경하는 회원 여러분,

예상보다 오래 이어지고 있는 COVID-19 감염사태로 일상적인 생활뿐 아니라 학술 활동에도 여러 가지 제한이 많으시리라 생각합니다.

이러한 특수 상황 아래 2014년 발족하여 박종관 교수님께서 초대 회장을 맡으신 이후 매년 개최하던 대한비뇨기호르몬연구학회 7차 심포지엄을 다시 진행할 수 있게 되어 다행스럽게 생각합니다.

올해는 가을 대한남성과학회 추계학회의 큰 틀 안에서 국제 학회인 제5회 International Joint Meeting of Pan-Asian Men's Health Forum, 개원의 연수강좌와 함께 개최하여, 타 학술모임에서 자주 다루지 않았던 남성호르몬 관련 소아, 배뇨, 남성 건강 등 다양한 분야의 강연을 준비하였으니, 이에 대한 활발한 토론이 이뤄지길 기대합니다.

또한 세션 중 박남철 교수님의 정년퇴임 기념 강의로 더욱 의미 있는 시간이 되리라고 생각됩니다.

빠른 시간 안에 질병 비상사태가 종식되어 자유롭던 시간으로 되돌아갈 수 있기를 기대하며, 회원 여러분들의 많은 관심과 성원을 부탁드립니다.

Dear members and colleagues,

It is a pleasure to invite you to the 2021 Fall Meeting of the Korean Society for Sexual Medicine and Andrology (KSSMA). This meeting will be held as an international conference with the 5th International Joint Meeting of Pan-Asian Men's Health Forum, which started in 2015.

Although all academic activities are restricted due to the COVID-19, the KSSMA successfully held the 38th Annual Meeting last April. Although the COVID-19 vaccination rate continues to increase, its new variants are spreading enormously all over the world including Korea. We expected that more members and colleagues will be able to attend the meeting in the fall. However, as the current situation is still too early to attend in person, all attendees are required to participate online.

On September 3, the first day of the conference, it will be operated as a half-day program in the afternoon, with world-class scholars in the fields of sexual medicine and men's Health to select a timely clinical topic and conduct an in-depth discussion.

On September 4, the second day of the conference, the latest knowledge on the pathophysiology and treatment of various hormone-related diseases will be shared in the field of men's health led by the Korean Urologic Hormone Research Association. In addition, treatments that can be tried in the acute phase of Peyronie's disease will be discussed. In particular, this meeting will be more meaningful as Professor Nam Cheol Park, who has contributed to the development of sexual medicine and andrology, has prepared a lecture to commemorate his retirement.

Dear members and colleagues,

I think that there are many restrictions on academic activities as well as daily life due to the COVID-19 infection, which has been going on for a longer time than expected.
It's very grateful for us to be able to hold the 7th Korean Society for Genitourinary Hormone Research symposium again under these hard conditions, which has been begun every year since Prof. Jong-Kwan Park was invited as the first president in 2014. This symposium will be held with the 5th International Joint Meeting of Pan-Asian Men's Health Forum and the 26th training course for practitioners this year.
We are preparing lectures in various fields such as male hormone-related pediatrics, voiding function, and men's health, which are often not discussed at other academic meetings. I hope there will be a lively discussion on this conference.
Furthermore, thanks to Professor Nam Cheol Park's lecture to commemorate his retirement, this meeting will have a more meaningful time.
We all hope that the emergency state due to pandemic comes to an end soon and to return back to free time without any restrictions.
